The project with Epretext sets out as a visual essay underpined by the desire to document hair and its ambivalent nature — both as a literal mass of textures and natural bodily extension. Hair features predominantly in her work, a theme which she carefully exploses as a site for intricacy and metaphor: tangled or not. This series of pictures hopes to unfold as a series of insights and intimacies and draws inspiration from traditional and modern simplicity altogether — like hair itself, literally weaving through different dimensions of womanhood.
